Yamamoto HS-1A Headshell

Das Yamamoto HS-1A ist die neuere Version des HS-1 und setzt auf Langlöcher für die Befestigung des Tonabnehmers. Bei der Materialauswahl griffen die Japaner zum afrikanischen Schwarzholz, auch Grenadille genannt, welches zu den Palisander-Hölzern gehört.
Mit einer Dichte von 1400kg/m3 zählt es zu den schwersten Hölzern überhaupt wodurch das Headshell ohne Schrauben ein Gewicht von 10,6 Gramm erreicht. Afrikanisches Schwarzholz findet zudem oft Verwendung im Instrumentenbau (z.B. Klarinetten und Oboen), da sich in diesem Bereich die Resonanz-Eigenschaften des Schwarzholzes bewährt haben.
Das Headshell besitzt auf der Unterseite eine Madenschraube, welche mithilfe des Innensechskantschlüssels gelöst werden kann. Dadurch lässt sich der Azimut des Tonabnehmers unkompliziert am Headshell verstellen. Dem Headshell beiliegenden vergoldeten Schrauben, wie auch der Fingerling sind nicht magnetisch und haben daher keinen Einfluss auf mögliche Magnetfelder des Tonabnehmers.
Das HS-1A Headshell kann darüber hinaus mit dem TY-1 Titan Fingerhebel bestückt werden.

The Yamamoto HS-1A is the newer version of the HS-1 and uses slotted holes for attaching the pickup. When selecting the material, the Japanese chose African blackwood, also known as grenadilla, which belongs to the rosewood family.
With a density of 1400kg/m3, it is one of the heaviest woods of all, giving the headshell a weight of 10.6 grams without screws. African blackwood is also often used in instrument making (e.g. clarinets and oboes), as the resonance properties of blackwood have proven their worth in this area.
The headshell has a grub screw on the underside, which can be loosened using the Allen key. This makes it easy to adjust the azimuth of the pickup on the headshell. The gold-plated screws included with the headshell, as well as the finger ring, are non-magnetic and therefore have no influence on any magnetic fields of the pickup.
The HS-1A headshell can also be fitted with the TY-1 titanium finger lever.
